May Madness (or just everyday fun!)

During the carnival one of Cera's classmates entered to win an extra gym class and won.  They got to have it outside as the weather was nice and did some fun activities.  Mom knows one of Cera's teachers well and therefore got this picture in a text.  It was fun to receive little smiles like these on random days throughout the school year.

What do kids do for fun when Mom's are mopping?  Why not turn all the furniture on the carpet into a fort!  It provides about half an hour of fun while they aren't allowed on the wet floor.  We love imagination play!!

Elizabeth - a woman of many faces!  We can often tell her mood or what she is thinking just by looking at her face.  And she can often make us all laugh just by making one of her funny faces.  What a girl!

The girls have always liked going to play at the park by the river followed by some time down by the river but they really enjoy it now that they have "horses" to ride by the water.  It's great to see kids imaginations at work.

Mom's still working on her spring cleaning list (which actually more like a year round cleaning list at the rate she is going).  Mom climbed into her shower one day and scrubbed every nook and cranny and surface.  It's sure shinny, soap scum and hard water stain free.....at least until she takes a shower tomorrow!!!

Mom decided to share the joy of Sound of Music with the girls.  They liked a few of the songs so it seemed like a good time.  We got out some treats....just a few options and then settled in to watch the show.  We only made it through about half before it was time for bed.

So the next night we setup again and finished it off.  The girls loved it and we are thinking of other movies on our list to watch.  We love spending time together - making great memories!

Another surprise glimpse of the day from Cera's teacher.  She was very impressed with the bridge Cera had built with a couple other classmates.  It was a great design (following all the rules/guidelines) and held the required weight.  Way to go CP!

Emilee read a story at school about ten apples.  Afterwards they cut apples in half and used them to paint ten apples on the pictures they drawn of themselves.  Emilee was so proud of her work that we had to stop and take a picture of it in the hallway.  Her drawing was pretty awesome - right down to her exact outfit!!  Way to go Em!

Elizabeth just loves Grace!  She was so excited to go to her birthday party and had to dress up for the occasion.  Such cute best friends!

Mom was able to sneak away for a couple days with a friend - a mom break!  We enjoyed a relaxing night in a hotel, shopping without kids, eating good food, visiting and a walk to wrap up the outing.  We met some friends on our walk and had to take our picture with them.

Mom enjoyed her walk so much that a few days later we picked up Uncle Mike and headed on the walk again.  We made it all the way to the park and played for a bit before we asked Dad to come pick a few of the girls up as they were too tired to walk all the way back to the car.  Perfect weather to get out and enjoy nature!
