Cera's Birthday Party

Because of our chickenpox delay in parties - neither Elizabeth or Cera wanted to wait any longer for their parties so they ended up being on the same day!  Exhausting and busy for Mom but also nice to have it all done and cleaned up in one day.

Cera had a late over (6-10pm) and wanted an evening full of one of her favorite things - crafts!!  They made sun catchers with glass beads and glue.

Made works of art with colored salt dough.

They painted creative pictures on their own canvases.

They designed their own tie dye shirts and really enjoyed that.

They took turns folding, twisting and wrapping their shirts with elastics.  Then they put on their gloves and added the colors they wanted.  They were fun to watch!

After the shirts sat overnight we rinsed them and prepared them to wash.  The finished products were great!!

Funny story - this shirt was Avery's (Cera's cousin) so we took a picture to text to her for a preview.  Cera sent it a typed, "Avery look how awesome your shirt (but missed the r) looks!"  Mom was busy rinsing shirts and didn't notice the typo until about an hour later.  Mom cried laughing when she noticed the mistake and how funny the statement was with the mistake.  Cera felt so bad for the mistake but the rest of us had a good giggle.

They had fun making flextangles but most of them lost patience when it came to the gluing part so Mom got to be queen gluer.  The girls all liked their finished product though.  They also made paracord bracelets but Mom was too busy giving instruction and helping that no pictures were taken.

They enjoyed some ice cream cake (Cera's special order for this year).

And of course Cera loved her presents from her friends.

She was a spoiled girl that's for sure!!  Mom was ready for bed once all the girls left!
