Dad, Cera and Emilee wanted to fit in one more ski trip before the end of the season. They headed to the hill while Elizabeth and Mom stayed at home to enjoy some time together. Everyone had a fun weekend!
Dad was away for the day, Mom wasn't feeling well and Emilee wanted some hashbrowns for breakfast. (She LOVES hashbrowns!) Mom gave in as she wasn't up to getting anything else for breakfast - so they headed to the store, Mom is her PJs. Emilee was a very happy and grateful girl!
Cera had a fun St. Patrick's Day party for activity days. They took and shared some great pictures!
Mom has been working at the cafe at the girls school - three days a week for the past three months. Mom and Dad were supposed to have a day off together but there was some confusion and it ended up that Mom had to work. So the great Dad he is - he came over and helped roll hot dogs for all the hungry kids! Isn't he the best!!
Elizabeth has been practicing reading a book so that she was ready to share it with her class. She finally felt ready and did a fantastic job! She had voices and really got into the story. Good job Elizabeth!

Party Time!
It was time for Emilee's birthday party! We decorated up the house....
got donuts as per the birthday girls request instead of cake and got ready to party!
Emilee wanted a minute to win it party (which worked for Mom as most of the planning had already been done). Their first game was mad dog which resulted in tic tacs being all over the front room....and under couches....and in shoes....and even in the dog food bowl. The kids had a blast though and this was to be expected!
Another game the girls loved was pink elephant. They had to get their slinkies to land and stay on their foreheads. It was very entertaining to watch and fun to listen to the girls giggles. What a great group!
They also played nose dive - Em ended up with part of the cotton ball stuck to her nose! She looked a little funny but cute at the same time!
We enjoyed a great happy birthday song before the girls dove into the donuts.
After a fun afternoon, the girls each left with a party bag full of the items and instructions needed to go home and play the games all over again with their families. What a great day!

Science Centre
It was a Friday off school and we haven't visited the science center in awhile so it was an easy decision of what to do with our day. We lucked out with a quiet day also so the girls were able to do pretty much anything they wanted! They were so excited to have an empty table at the building center!
Elizabeth got tired of the glue guns before the other girls so we headed over to the knex table. She had fun creating new structures as well as adding to partial built items on the table.
In all of our visits to the Open Studio this part has never been open. Today we lucked out!! The girls were able to try their hand at the lathe. You can see Cera is excited, proud and nervous all at once! (Did you get that from the look on her face?)
Emilee had fun! She did great and just had to be reminded to keep the tool flat on the wood once. She's ready to make her own spindles for a staircase now!
Elizabeth was brave and gave it a try. Mom thought that maybe she was super focused with this look on her face but she was actually trying to keep her safety goggles from sliding off her face! What a funny girl!
This also happened - the largest tower built by the girls in science center history.
The girls decided to attend the show - H2O. They liked all the experiments, learning and feeling the "clouds".
It was a great day at the science center and the girls were already talking about their next visit on the drive home.
