School Fun

The girls school had done a walk-a-thon to raise money at the beginning of the year.  They planned on raising money to have rocks and rings come to teach the kids about curling.  Emilee was so excited due to her new found love of curling.  As the year went on and the school had the dance teacher come to the school again, we thought maybe they hadn't raised enough for the curling.  But finally they came (it must have been just waiting for their turn in the list of schools participating) and the girls all had a blast!  Who wouldn't love to learn about curling and play it in the comfort of your own gym!  (She's hard to see but Emilee is way in the back in the pink shirt.)

Elizabeth has become such a writer and artist this year!  Her teacher includes a lot of pictures in their daily blog post - it's been fun to see glimpses into their day at school and see some of her great work!

The kids in Elizabeth's class enjoy sharing their work with each other - the best part....getting to sit in the teachers' special chair!!

The girls enjoy going outside for some learning at school.  There is a little pond not too far from the school that they walk to and spend sometime writing in the visual journals.  It's nice to get out of the classroom once in awhile!

The girls have all had a good year and really enjoyed their teachers.  The year is flying by!
