Outdoor Adventures

We were excited to go visit our friends on a nice spring day - sadly the wind picked up before we arrived but we weren't going to let it stop us!  The girls still said hello to their horse friends and gave them an apple and some carrots.

We enjoyed a hot dog lunch in the barn - protected from the wind.  We enjoyed the visit and being in the outdoors (kindof).

We took our rockets from Christmas with us - little did we know how much building/constructing that needed to happen first.  Mom and Dad worked hard to get them together (thanks to Ken and Peggy having the extras needed such as glue, sand paper and tape).

The kids were so excited for liftoff!!  There were a few misfires at the start but then we got it figured out.  The kids would countdown to blast off!

It was a super fun afternoon!!  We shot of 3 rockets - the wind carried 2 of them away towards the river.  We were able to recover one but the other was on the other side of the river and too far away to get. 

We had a great day and are so grateful for good friends that invite us out to enjoy their land.  We look forward to shooting more rockets off (Dad is talking about getting bigger ones for next time!)
