Welcome November

Elizabeth decided she wanted to make herself a hat out of recycled materials.  She was very creative and made these antlers.  They didn't stay standing up too well but we were impressed that she did it all by herself.

After Halloween they were clearing out costumes at the store so Mom decided these outfits might be fun for $5.  The girls thought they were funny and enjoyed playing in them.  We have a red, purple and orange one.

It was parent teacher interviews this month and we like to get a little something to help the teachers through their long nights.  (Chocolate bar - a sweet treat to get you through the 2 long nights; Stride gum - to help you take the nights in stride; Ice breakers - to help break the ice for those tough conversations; Scentos mini markers - to write all those important notes while talking to the parents; Googly eye push pins - to roll when it's not professionally acceptable to roll your own.)

Dad carried on the tradition of sharing information about his ancestors who fought in wars to help Remembrance Day be a little more memorable for the girls.  We are so grateful for all those that risk and lost their lives in order for us to live in this free country.  We are also grateful for the lessons the past has taught us and hope to continue to learn from them.

Dad was able to have a fishing day away with some of his buddies.  He fished at a lake with a new type of fish and really enjoyed himself.  (although he did say it's starting to get a little chilly for fishing.)
