October Fun

The re-discovered the game Outdoor Adventure and have enjoyed playing it.  They laugh and get some exercise at the same time.  What better way to start a Saturday with some sweat!

We were able to go to an open house at Elizabeth's school this month and see some of the great work she's been doing so far this year.  One of our favorites was this artwork done with items they found in nature.  They worked in groups and then were interviewed about their work.  We loved that Elizabeth made sure their birdhouse and nest had a hot tub.  Birds need their creature comforts too!

Cera also participated in some more cross county.  She has enjoyed being part of a school "team".  This race was right by Grandma's house so when the younger girls got tired, they headed over to Grandma's for a break.  Cera ran a good race but sadly did not get a place ribbon.  She was just shy by 2 girls!  We are proud of her determination and desire to work hard.  Keep it up Cera!

One evening as Mom stepped out on the back porch it was like looking at a painted picture.  The sunset and clouds were amazing.  She went and looked out front to see if she was just imagining things but it was just as beautiful there too.  We are so grateful for the beautiful world God has created for us to enjoy.

One evening at work Mom received this picture via text.  Cera has been working on her electronic playground and got her radio working all by herself.  Can you see the excitement and sense of accomplishment in those eyes?!?

To fill another Saturday while Mom was at work, Dad took the girls to the mall!!  They were super excited.  They took their wallets and found a few items they wanted to get.  It happened to be Mario's 30th birthday and one store was giving away pins to celebrate.  It was a good day.  But probably the best part was stopping at build a bear and Dad saying they could buy one if they wanted.  Elizabeth had already spent most of her money and therefore did not have enough.  Probably Mom's and Dad's favorite part was Cera deciding she could go without a stuffy and giving her money to Elizabeth so she could get the pony she wanted.

What a great big sister with a big heart!  Everyone went home feeling happy!  Later Cera did say she was a bit sad she didn't have a bear but was more happy she could make Elizabeth so happy.  What a great life lesson for all of us!
