Happy Halloween

The girls were excited to pick their pumpkins and designs and then carve them.  This year Elizabeth got her hands right into it!  Check out that smile on her face for being so brave and doing something new!

Emilee tried to be brave also and get her hands good and dirty.  She did pretty good but.....

...she still didn't love it.

The girls worked hard at cleaning out their pumpkins but when they got tired, they passed the finishing up and carving to Mom and Dad.

Mom's original job was to draw the pictures onto the pumpkins (not sure how she ended up with that job as she's not a great artist at all!).  It ended up that the carving was taking too long so Mom had to join in on Dad's job.  Not sure how this "fun" project became and Mom and Dad project?!?!

The girls were excited with the final products.  We had a scary face.

And an owl.

And a kitty cat face.

Our beautiful girls were excited for Halloween.  They got all dressed up in the costumes they had picked out.  Emilee was a prisoner (or she said robber some times), Cera was an angel and Elizabeth was rainbow dash.

And as per the tradition in our house - off they go trick or treating with Dad!  Mom stayed home to hand out treats to those trick or treaters that come our way.

They headed out for about an hour and then came home to check out their goodies.  There weren't too many kids out on our street so these cute girls would get handfuls at each house.  They thought it was the best day ever!

After looking through their treats, they selected those items that they wanted to trade and each setup a "store".  They took turns shopping at each others stores and making trades.  It's fun to watch them work together (although older sisters do try to pull a few quick ones on their younger sisters!)  Hopefully they will enjoy some of their treats (two a day) over the next few months as any leftovers will find their way to the garbage once Christmas arrives with its' goodies!
