Leaf Jumping

We decided we'd better get our annual leaf jumping in before the snow makes its' appearance.  We headed to the park behind Grandma's house and started to rake.  It was a bit windy which gave a bit of a challenge to building up our piles but we were able to accomplish it.

Elizabeth and Emilee made a pile and wanted to jump into it with their stuffies.  Last year Elizabeth wouldn't drop right into the pile and was the same at the start of this year.  But she would let Bailey fly through the sky and land on it and then giggle away.

Cera was a bit upset about how things were going and took a moment on the park bench.  Uncle Mike was right there to give her some hugs, rub her back and tell her, "It will be alright Cera."  What a great uncle!

And the run.....will they all jump???

And they did!  Cera "helped" Elizabeth land in the pile which she wasn't very happy about and Cera was unhappy for some reason too.  It wasn't our best year of leaf jumping and playing but you've got to get pictures and pretend it was great - right?!?

While Elizabeth took some time to be upset the leaves got all over her - Cera and Emilee took a few more runs at the pile.

Even with the ups and downs of our day, we still had fun overall.  Jumping in leaves can make anyone smile right?

To finish the day we gave ourselves a leaf shower.  A few landed on us but a lot blew away in the breeze.  It's great to spend a day just playing and having fun!
