April Excitement

This month Cera was excited to receive her prescription sunglasses in the mail.  Doesn't she look styling while she can still see perfectly clear!

We also decided to try making some rock candy.  It was a fun experiment and learning experience for Mom and the girls.

Some "grew" better than others but they girls still enjoyed eating them no matter what they looked like.

The girls are pretty reverent at church especially when they take their boogie boards.  They work hard on their art and then want to take pictures before they erase them and start another masterpiece.

Another masterpiece made by Elizabeth and Mom.

And one more for your enjoyment.

One afternoon we decided to go on a scavenger hunt and then the girls made a picture with the items they found on their list.  It was a fun activity and great to see their creations.  Elizabeth turned her items into a picture with trees and a bird.

Emilee sorted her items into the categories of what she had to find and labelled them.  It was fun to see how they each created something very different with similar items.

Uncle Mike and his dog, Cali, were able to come for a sleepover one weekend.  After we got the girls tucked in he got comfy on the couch, with his dog nearby, to watch a movie before bed.  The girls enjoyed having him and Cali over.

We even tried something new with Mike too - making gluten and dairy free pie.  It turned out better than we expected and he enjoyed a lemon meringue pie like everyone else!

Elizabeth wanted to do Mom's hair one day and offered to do it "Elizabeth style".  When Mom answered the door for Amber she responded with, "Wow, did Elizabeth do your hair?"  It was funny but Mom was able to make Elizabeth's day by wearing her hairstyle almost all day.  So fun to be a Mom!!

This month we also tried something new - making flextangles.  After watching a video on them and thinking they looked fun, we gave them a try.  Mom wasn't sure they would work how advertised but surprisingly they did!

They girls had a blast making and playing with a couple each.

Cera accidentally got bumped on the head one night.  Apologies were given and we gathered to read our scriptures for the night.  Cera was still complaining it hurt and then lost it when she pulled her fingers away from her head to find blood on them.  We felt sad for her but it was just a minor cut that bled lots due to the location.  With a little ice, paper towel and love she was feeling better in time for bed and all better in a couple days.

We are so grateful for our three beautiful girls and the fun we have been having with them.  They are a joy to be around (most days) and are ready to try anything new.  We look forward to lots more exploring, playing, experimenting, and learning with these girls!
