After a long month being house bound we (or more so Mom) needed to get out! So we planned a trip to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa and then stay the night at Aunt Tori's and Uncle Tyler's. We had so much fun!
Mom forgot to take any pictures at Great Grandma and Grandpa's but they spoiled the girls with bubbles, the girls played on the exercise equipment outside and then we enjoyed some snacks and a foam beading craft Great G&G had got them. It was a great visit and we are so lucky to be able to spend time with them!
Then Tori and Tyler spoiled us with some yummy chicken salad for dinner and "bring your own cup" slurpees.
The next day we enjoyed homemade pancakes, Cera finished up some homework for the days she missed, and then we decorated eggs! We had so much fun. Meet Mr and Mrs Myeggsyk by Tori and Tyler.
And some of the girls creations. They enjoyed coloring their eggs and then picking face stickers to add. They really thought about which "face" would fit perfectly with the color and design on their eggs.
Cera showing one of her favorite eggs. She really loves to be creative!
Elizabeth's favorite - or maybe just the first one she grabbed for the picture.
One of Emilee's beautiful eggs. We brought 4 dozen hard boiled eggs but the girls would have been happy to decorate another 4 dozen! (Mom enjoyed eating hard boiled eggs with everything for the couple weeks after!)
After cleaning up from the decorating the mini rain shower had ended so we grabbed our bikes and scooters to have a mini adventure. (And to let Tori and Tyler have a little quiet time.) The girls loved the open space by the school and decided to have a display of talents!
The would announce each other and then ride down the sidewalk and do a "jump" off the curb. They would then tell each other how great they did and cheer.
Emilee is really becoming a master of 2 wheels and did some great "jumps" off the curb. It was great to listen to the girls encourage and cheer for one another. They even presented each other with awards at the end. It was a "melt mom's heart" moment - what great girls and sisters!
After our adventure we loaded up and headed for home. We were grateful to get out for the weekend and for everyone that welcome our visit. We love making family memories!
